How To

What Is A Battery Pack, And How Do I Replace It?

Your drone's main power source is the battery pack. They provide enough power that your quadcopter can fly safely and smoothly.

You won't notice any differences between the battery packs in a new drone and the one you have before. But, over time, your battery pack will slowly become worn down. Eventually, it might stop working altogether. To make sure that your drone is still functioning properly, you will need to replace its battery.

It is best to replace a battery pack with the original part. A faulty battery pack could cause serious damage to your drone.

These are the steps to replace a cell phone battery pack.

  1. Disconnect your battery connector cable. This ensures your drone doesn’t receive any electricity. Simply pull the cable from the drone to disconnect the battery connector.
  2. Remove the battery pack. Remove the battery pack from your quadcopter's bottom. The battery pack usually comes apart into two pieces.
  3. Find the battery contacts. After you have taken the battery pack out, look for the contact points. These tiny metal pins connect to the battery and other components of the drone.
  4. Install the battery. Next, you will need to install the battery into the drone. You will need to align the battery connectors from both ends of the battery package. Next, place the battery pack on the drone. After that, secure the bolts that hold the battery pack in place.
  5. Connect the battery connector cable again. After installing the new battery pack, reconnect the battery connector cable to the drone.
  6. It is important to test the drone. Test the drone once more to make sure it is working correctly. Congratulations if it works!
